It was on January 1, 2004 that the exciting adventure of Filips Wine started. 01. The Beginnings in London<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t

<\/p>\r\n\t\t

\u201cI came into wine a little by chance! After graduating from University with a degree in Business and Languages, it was time to take my first steps into the real world. As luck would have it, I found a job working in a wine shop in London, a city I knew all too well, having lived there since the age of 7.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>

03. Moving to France<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t

\u201cMany years later, I decided to leave England and head for France. It was no longer chance which was guiding me but a craving to get closer to the source. After all, the great majority of the finest wines in the world come from France, and it was high time I discovered them !\u201d<\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]

02. The Birth of a Passion<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t

<\/p>\r\n\t\t

\u201cI remember my initial encounter with wine as if it were yesterday: discovering the different labels, speaking with customers, learning the art of tasting and reading various wine magazines\u2026 Within a short space of time I was hooked, and from that day on my passion in wine was born and would never leave me.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>

04. A Taste for Great Wines<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t

\u201cIt was a wise choice as I was soon hired by one of the top fine wine merchants in France. I worked as a buyer, which gave me the opportunity to taste a large array of unforgettable wines, produced by the greatest estates in the world, names like Roman\u00e9e Conti, Leroy, Coche-Dury, Henri Jayer, Rousseau, Latour, Lafite, Petrus, Cheval Blanc...\u201d<\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

\r\n\t\tThe knowledge and experience which I acquired over that 5-year period strengthened my desire to start my own business. I was ready for the big plunge, and Filips Wine opened its doors on January 1, 2004.\t<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t\t

So where does the name Filips Wine come from?<\/h4>\r\n\t\t

The name Filips Wine is a tribute to my Swedish grandfather, whose name was Filip. He did not work in wine, but was an entrepreneur and ran a successful tearoom\/catering business in Stockholm at the beginning of the 20th century.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n<\/div>

A dedicated staff made up of 24 individuals of various backgrounds and cultures provides the company with a strong set of skills and experience in all areas. A common passion for wine as well as a strong desire to meet the needs of our clients and suppliers is at the heart of the company\u2019s operations and aspirations.<\/p>\n
